On Thursday, 5 February 2026, investors can expect a busy day of corporate earnings reports. Major public companies from the US, Europe, and other regions will be releasing their financial results for the latest reporting period. Below is a selection of key reports and companies to watch on the day.

USA (S&P 500 and Other Major Companies)

Before Market Open (Pre-Market): Early on Thursday morning, several heavyweight companies in the US will release their earnings. Notably, the oil giants Shell plc and ConocoPhillips will provide their results ahead of the market opening. Additionally, pharmaceutical leader Bristol-Myers Squibb, cosmetics conglomerate Estée Lauder Companies, insurance group Cigna, confectionery manufacturer Hershey, investment firm KKR, fitness equipment maker Peloton Interactive, and media company Sirius XM will also report before the markets open. Among industrial and energy companies, engine manufacturer Cummins Inc. and battery producer Energizer Holdings will publish their quarterly results pre-market. Canadian telecommunications holding BCE Inc. (Bell Canada Enterprises) will also hold a conference call regarding its fourth-quarter results at 8:00 AM ET. Furthermore, one of the world’s largest gold producers, Barrick Gold, will present its final results for 2025 and Q4 report on Thursday morning (the release is expected at 6:00 AM ET).

After Market Close (After Hours): The evening will shine a spotlight on Amazon.com, Inc.’s fourth-quarter report. Wall Street analysts expect Amazon to report revenue of approximately $211.3 billion and earnings of $1.98 per share, reflecting the effects of the holiday season and a ~20% growth in the AWS cloud business. Investors will also be keen to hear Amazon's comments regarding significant capital expenditures on AI infrastructure. In addition to Amazon, business analytics firm MicroStrategy Inc., a large corporate holder of Bitcoins, will report after the closing bell. The social platform Reddit, Inc., which has recently gone public, will also present its Q4 financial report. In the technology and online services sector, quarterly results will be published by video game developer Roblox Corp., cybersecurity company Fortinet, and fintech provider Affirm Holdings. Among 'clean' technologies and software, reports from hydrogen energy systems manufacturer Bloom Energy, CleanSpark, Inc. (microgrid and mining solutions), and enterprise software developer Atlassian Corp. will be released on the evening of 5 February. The semiconductor sector will also see results from Microchip Technology (Q3 of the 2026 fiscal year) and analog chip designer Monolithic Power Systems. Rounding out the evening block is Digital Realty Trust, a major data-centric trust. All of these reports will provide important insight into the state of the technology sector and consumer sentiment following market close.

Europe (Euro Stoxx 50 and Other Markets)

In Europe, the key event of the day will be the earnings report from Shell plc, one of the leading companies in the Euro Stoxx 50. Shell will present its financial results on Thursday morning, with investors expecting data on earnings amid volatile oil prices. Also on 5 February, one of Spain's leading banks, Banco BBVA, which represents the banking sector within the Euro Stoxx 50, will report. The publication of BBVA’s fourth-quarter results will show trends in the European banking business in light of changing interest rates. Additionally, Linde plc – a global leader in industrial gases (a company with historical roots in Germany, now listed on the NYSE) – will release its report on the same day. Other major European issuers from the Euro Stoxx 50 index typically do not publish results on this Thursday, with many releasing quarterly figures later in February.

Asia (Nikkei 225 and Other Asian Markets)

In the Asia-Pacific region, 5 February is relatively quiet in terms of corporate earnings reports. None of the major companies listed on Japan’s Nikkei 225 have scheduled financial results for this Thursday. Major reports in the region are concentrated around the following days – for instance, Toyota Motor will present quarterly results on Friday, 6 February. Thus, no significant corporate earnings that could considerably affect local markets are anticipated on 5 February in Asia.

Russia (MOEX Russia Index)

Among Russian public companies included in the MOEX Russia Index, no major issuers have scheduled quarterly earnings reports for 5 February 2026. Most leaders in the Russian market traditionally disclose their results later in the reporting season. Nonetheless, it is worth noting the earnings report from private clinical-hospital network MD Medical Group (ticker MDMG), which will present its financial results for Q4 2025 on 5 February. Other significant Russian firms will disclose their annual and quarterly reports later – throughout February and March, following the completion of audits and preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS requirements.

On 5 February, investors will be evaluating a broad spectrum of corporate results – from American tech giants and industrial firms to European energy and financial leaders. This day will provide critical signals regarding the state of the global economy at the start of 2026 and business sentiment across various sectors. Keep an eye on news related to the mentioned companies to respond promptly to potential changes in market conditions.
