7
The export price of Russian Urals crude oil at Russian ports in April 2026 significantly exceeded the cost of ESPO crude oil, according to data from Argus, the Centre for Price Indices (CPI), and consulting firm NEFT Research. As noted by the CPI, in the week from April 13 to April 19, Urals at the FOB Primorsk base (Leningrad region) was priced at $95.4/barrel, while at FOB Novorossiysk it was $94.4/barrel. In contrast, ESPO at the FOB Kozmino base (Primorsky Krai) was priced at $89.6/barrel. This means that Urals was more expensive by $4.8–5.8/barrel.

According to NEFT Research, the average price of Urals during the period from April 13 to April 17 was $91.4/barrel in Novorossiysk and $93.2/barrel in Primorsk, whereas the price for ESPO crude oil was $91.1/barrel. The previous week, Urals was more expensive by $12–14/barrel, although CPI has indicated a difference of $15–16/barrel.
